01 — SITE VISIT · FREE
Measure
We come to you with a tape, a level and a brew's worth of questions. Every job starts with the building, not a brochure.
02 — DRG + FIXED PRICE
Draw
You get a proper scaled drawing and a fixed price. Change anything you like at this stage — rubbers are cheaper than routers.
03 — IN THE WORKSHOP
Make
Machined, jointed and finished in our Sheepscar workshop. You're welcome to call in and see your job on the bench.
04 — FITTED + GUARANTEED
Fit
Fitted by the same hands that made it, dust sheets down, hoovered before we leave. Snags sorted within the week, not the season.

THE WORKSHOP
Frank's bench.
Jim's rules.
James's hands.
Frank Hartley set up at the Sheepscar arches in 1962 with a wooden jack plane and a book of debts. His son Jim added the machines and the rule that nothing leaves the shop unless it'd survive being dropped down the stairs it was made for.
James runs the bench now. Same arches, same plane on the wall, same habit of drawing everything before pricing anything. The vans are newer. The tea is exactly the same.
